Voting for parties and people
Ballots can be found at all polling stations and are available from all parties.
Voting for a party
You vote primarily for a party. The party’s name is on the ballot. If you cannot find your party’s ballot, you can write your party’s name on a blank ballot.
Voting for a person
If you want a particular person from among the party’s candidates to be elected, you can place an ”x” in the box next to the candidate’s name on the ballot. You can only place an ”x” for one candidate.
You can also vote for a person by writing the party name and the candidate’s name on a blank ballot.
