Web accessibility statement on val.se

The Swedish Election Authority is responsible for this website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website. This statement describes the current accessibility issues and how we are working to address them.
Accessibility statement update
We published a completely new version of val.se at the end of November 2025. We have therefore started a website review process, and we will publish a new accessibility statement in 2026.
Digital accessibility requirements
The website accessibility work being carried out on val.se covers:
- technologies
- language
- content presentation
The aim is for val.se to achieve basic accessibility standards by fulfilling the requirements outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, conformance level AA.

We’re aware that we do not currently meet all accessibility requirements, and we’re working to address the issues that have been identified.

Supervising compliance
The Agency for Digital Government (DIGG) is responsible for supervising compliance with the Swedish Act on the Accessibility of Digital Public Services.
