Results of the 2024 European Elections determined
Today, 14 June 2024, the Swedish Election Authority determined the results of the European Elections. A total of 4 240 459 people voted in this year’s elections, which corresponds to a voter turnout of 53,39 per cent.
The final vote count by the county administrative boards was completed today, Friday 14 June. The Swedish Election Authority has now decided on the allocation of seats between parties, appointed members of the European Parliament and substitutes on behalf of Sweden, and has determined the final election results.
Sweden’s 21 seats in the European Parliament have been distributed as follows:
- Arbetarepartiet-Socialdemokraterna (the Social Democratic party): 5 seats
- Centerpartiet (the Centre Party): 2 seats
- Kristdemokraterna (the Christian Democrats): 1 seats
- Liberalerna (formerly Folkpartiet) (the Liberal Party): 1 seats
- Miljöpartiet de gröna (the Green Party): 3 seats
- Moderaterna (the Moderate Party): 4 seats
- Sverigedemokraterna (the Sweden Democrats): 3 seats
- Vänsterpartiet (the Left Party): 2 seats
